Couple of quick items of note:
What an amazing day!
Last Sunday we had over 175 people in worship - and it was a lot of fun to be that full! Keep inviting your friends, your family, your neighbors. We're concluding our sermon series this week called "God Never Said That" with a message examining whether what we believe matters or not.
If you still have a church survey and want your voice to be included, we MUST have them from you no later than Sunday after worship. They need to be turned over to the person who is processing them for our church (outside agency) and our deadline is May 24th. PLEASE fill it out, even if just partially, and turn it in! The broader section of responses we have the better informed we will be to help us move forward as a church! Please seal the envelope you were given with the survey before turning it in. There is a basket at the back of the sanctuary where they are being collected, or give them to Shawn or Tracy Pomeroy and they will make sure they are delivered.
On Sunday May 31st we will be recognizing our students who will be graduating. For sure joining us for worship will be Colin Worke, Brady Schumacher, and Isaiah Williamson. Mia Conway may also be joining us in case you want to bring cards or gifts to church. We've asked the students to wear their cap and gowns, and we will be having a reception for them prior to worship from 9:00-9:50 a.m. in our lower level.
Worship Time Change
A reminder that starting June 7th our worship will move to 9:00 a.m. start for the Summer.
Wednesday in the Park
Our summer mid-week potluck begins on Wednesday, June 10th, 6:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Park. Church provides hot dogs, buns and condiments and we ask that you bring a dish to pass, things to eat with and off of, something to drink, and a neighbor or friend! Our students are going to provide some worship music on some of the Wednesday evenings during the summer, and we have some other fun things in store! So get it on your calendar and plan on joining us!! You have to eat somewhere, it might as well be with us!!!
Thanks for being part of the wonderful work God is doing at First Congregational Church!
