We want to be a church that loves God and loves others well. We work in our own community to serve others as well as support regional, national and international ministries as well.
People Helping People: People Helping People is our local missions work. Currently we are partnering with the Waseca Public Schools Early Family Childhood Education staff to provide healthy snacks for students in pre-K programming in the Central Building across the street from our church. We provide fresh fruits and vegetables for students to eat. We also are providing food bags that are sent home with students in need over the weekends to ensure they are getting meals when they are not at school. We want to make sure students in our community have the basic needs met so they can learn and grow!
People Helping People also serves by helping others in need in our community. We've raked leaves, cleaned up damage after severe storms, cleaned gutters, done minor home repair and many other things. We prioritize our church members, single mothers, the elderly, and families with a spouse serving in the military when multiple service options are presented to us. We can and do help others outside our church on a case by case basis. We do not give financially to individuals outside of our church, and we do not keep any cash in our church building.
Neighborhood Service Center: Our church provides help to the NSC in numerous ways. We collect food that is brought to the NSC on a month basis from within our church. We have collected food at local grocery stores that is brought to NSC. We have served in sorting and cleaning at NSC. Our students buy presents for the Santa Anonymous program each Christmas that is overseen by NSC.
Sunday Bus Service: Our church is one of a handful of Waseca churches who financially support a bus ministry in Waseca. If you are a senior or have a physical handicap that makes it difficult for you to get to church on your own, our church supports the Sunday Bus Service that will bring you to church and return you home each Sunday. If you would like to schedule this please call 507-835-1353 and make arrangements.
Habitat for Humanity: Our church has actively served in construction of three Habitat houses in Waseca. We have also served as a host site for other churches coming in to Waseca to work on Habitat houses.
Cru: (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ) Our church supports Nikki Doorenbos, Cru staff member at Mankato State University. Nikki served as our church's worship director for a year before moving onto Cru staff in 2013.
TIME Ministries - Dominican Republic: Since 1968, TIME has been partnering with national pastors and churches to change lives and bring hope through construction projects, evangelism opportunities and discipleship programs. Whether you’re helping build a new church for villagers, performing a lively puppet show in the middle of a crowded local park, or personally connecting one-on-one with nationals, we guarantee it will be an experience you will never forget.
KJYL Radio 104.5 FM: The purpose of KJYL, as part of Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting, is to represent and present the dynamic Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jennifer Blevins: God is changing individuals, igniting movements and working in countless ways throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Jenn serves on a team in Haiti working in numerous capacities to share the Gospel and to equip others to share the Gospel.
Waihon and Donna Liew: Waihon and Donna serve in campus ministries on the University of Minnesota through Prepare Ministries. They are working to train a generation of young adults, in the spirit of John the Baptist, to prepare the way for the coming of the Lord. They seek to teach them to love and serve God in the context of Prepare Ministries' "three M's": Mentoring -- Connecting young adults to mature Christians that will help them grow in devotion to God. Meetings -- Times of worship, learning, and engaging others in healthy, Christian relationships. Missions -- Praying for and serving in our communities and nations abroad.
